Consistently making timely payments on your credit cards, of at least the minimum amount due, will help contribute to an overall good credit history and good credit scores because 35% of your credit score is based on your payment history (which, by the way, is the largest percentage of your credit score).
However, the mere act of making payments on your credit cards before the due date gives you no added benefit.
Whether you make payments on your credit cards before the due date or on the due date doesn't really matter, just so long as your payments are made by the due date.
Either way, your credit card payments will show as paid on time. You don't get extra credit score points for making credit card payments early.
But don't let that discourage you!
Making your credit card payments well before the due date is a good practice to have.
You can be assured that your payments will be on time, they will be received by the credit card companies by your due date, they will be posted to your accounts in a timely manner, and you'll avoid any late fees and/or penalties.
So, don't cut it too close! Make your credit card payments early enough so that they'll always be on time!
